Private by design

Cadence counts your keys. It never keeps your words.

No words saved

Only counts and times. Nobody can read back what you typed.

Nothing leaves your Mac

No account, and Cadence sends nothing anywhere. Your data is one file on your Mac.

Passwords stay out

Cadence counts nothing on the lock screen or in password fields.

Get started

This is a test build. Apple has not checked it yet, so the first time you open it, you allow it in System Settings.

  1. Download CadenceOpen the file and drag Cadence into Applications.
  2. Open itA small icon with your speed appears in the menu bar.
  3. Allow Input MonitoringYour Mac asks this for any app that counts keys. Then Cadence starts counting, and it opens by itself when you log in.

Your download has started

Apple has not checked this test build yet, so your Mac blocks it the first time. You allow it one time:

  1. Install itOpen Cadence.dmg and drag Cadence into Applications.
  2. Open itYour Mac says that it cannot check Cadence for malware. Click Done.
  3. Allow itIn System Settings, open Privacy & Security and scroll down to Security. Click Open Anyway next to the Cadence message, and enter your Mac password.
  4. Open it againClick Open Anyway when your Mac asks. Then allow Input Monitoring.
